Land Speed Racer - Danny Thompson

Mickey Thompson is a name synonymous with speed. In 1960, he became the first American to break the 400mph barrier. Yet for Mickey’s son, Danny Thompson, being known as a fast family is not enough. He wants to be the fastest in the world. Danny is taking Mickey Thompson’s 1968 Challenger streamliner, a vehicle that hasn’t run since 1968, through the extensive process of restoration, retro-fitting, and updating the car in a concerted effort to break the piston-driven world speed record which currently sits at 458mph.
